Al Watad is led by a highly successful management team with a proven exploration and development track record. The team has extensive experience throughout Africa, with multiple portfolio investments providing exposure to North African exploration areas.

Past Projects

Al Watad's technical team has been engaged in negotiations with oil companies. For example, they successfully completed the exploration and assessment phases for Blocks 242 and 226 in Algeria, in collaboration with Medex & Partner Avenue. Medex and its partner Sonatrach have declared commerciality for Block 242 and approved a development plan for the block.

The team has also been involved in farm-out negotiations and transactions with major companies including TOTAL, EON, ENEL, Qatar, and Libyan investors. Their Libyan experience spans both onshore and offshore acreage, with involvement in basin scale studies, preliminary EPSA acreage evaluations, block scale prospect evaluations, appraisals, field screening, and detailed oilfield cases.
